Here’s what you can get with your Vivint security system
Unlike rival smart home companies, Vivint’s automation and security systems are available to renters. Here are a few of the more asked about sensors and services:
Intrusion detection
Motion alarms and glass break sensors can warn you when an surprise guest comes into your rental unit. Receive an alert to your mobile device when an device goes off, or arm and disarm your alarms and cameras remotely and let in guests or maintenance when you’re out.
Environmental safety detectors
Ordinary smoke detectors should come standard with your rental unit, but probably not other environmental sensors. Place a wireless carbon monoxide alarm or water detector to alert you and Vivint’s monitoring agents to problems before it’s too late.
HD security cameras
HD security cameras may be wirelessly hung so you can keep watch on certain rooms. A doorbell camera allows you view -- and talk to -- visitors at the front door. See real-time HD feeds and notifications about lurkers through your mobile app.
24-hour monitoring
One of the benefits of using Vivint is the monitoring experts that back up triggered alarms. If a sensor triggers, your monitoring experts quickly calls you to make sure you’re in a safe location. Then they’ll turn around and contact the fire or police departments.
Automation devices
Automation components, such as smart lighting, can be put in to make your rental more eco-friendly. Some devices like a smart thermostat or smart door locks may need prior office approval.
The Vivint App
Your Duluth security system is able to be controlled from home or away by using the Vivint App. See real-time camera feeds, remotely arm and disarm alarms and cameras, or program rules for all your smart devices. Then receive texts to your mobile device if a sensor goes off or a security camera sees a suspected lurker.
